Day 8 - My Biggest Cheerleader

I remember when my sons (now 37 and 36 years old) were toddlers. Their father and I never scolded them when they fell while learning to walk. We would encourage them to get up and try again. It wasn't long before they were able to balance and toddle around the house...a bit clumsily at first. Soon, they began to walk, then run with no problems.

In my walk with My Heavenly Father, He encourages me when I fall. He does not berate me for falling; although there are consequences to sin, He encourages me to get up and try again. His mercies are new EVERY SINGLE MORNING!!! Talk about do-overs...

The Lord's lovingkindess indeed never cease, for HIS compassions never fail.
They are new every morning; great is YOUR faithfulness.  - Lamentations 3:23-24

Sadly, I would often move away from God at times when I was failing to live according to my faith in Him. He would allow me to get so far, then He would draw me back to Himself. That, alone proved to me that He loved me enough to save me from myself. He also sent Jesus Christ, His Son to die for my sins.

I had a dream once that I was in the very throne room of God. It was a magnificent place with marble columns throughout a massive room. The Father was seated on the throne. I never saw His face, only His lap. I ran through the room and ran straight into His lap, climbed into it and curled up. I have never experienced a greater sense of love and peace in my entire life. His love washed over me like gently flowing stream. My alarm clock rudely brought me back to earth. I hit the snooze button in hopes of falling back to sleep and making my way back to the Father's lap.

Father, thank You that You are cheering me on! Thank You for not giving up on me when I gave up on myself. Thank You for allowing me to experience Your great love.

Know that HE (God the Father, God the Son and God The Holy Spirit) is your biggest cheerleader.

I love you, Lord
Pamela
