Day 12 - Truth VS Lies

How often has the enemy whispered lies in your ear? "You suck as a photographer, mother, wife, (fill in the blank)". Often, you are at a point of vulnerability and believe him. but guess what??? He is a LIAR...a big fat liar, liar pants on fire.

Why do you, I mean I, choose to believe the lie of the enemy instead of the truth of the God who created him? God's Word tells me that I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. - Phillipians 4:13 But, honestly, sometimes I don't really believe that. Oh I may have that scripture taped to my bathroom mirror, or hanging from my sun visor, but in my heart of hearts I can feel like such a failure.

The enemy knows that if he (or my own insecurities) can take my focus off God and His direction for my life, I can fall into depression, self-pity and all manner of sin. Perhaps, I need to remind Satan of his ultimate demise. He will be forever separated from God for all eternity, cast into outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 25:30)...for ETERNITY!!! Hey, Lucifer, YOU LOSE!!! You have been fighting tooth and nail to keep us in darkness and ignorant to what God truly has planned for us.

Do you know that before God formed you in your mother's womb, He knew you? Read Psalm 139. We are fearfully and wonderfully made...THAT, my friend, is the truth! Lord, forgive my unbelief that what Your Word says about me is true. Help me to stop believing the lies the enemy whispers in my ear. I choose to trust You, Lord. Yes, I believe that I am fearfully and wonderfully made!
